Specialising in opera and lieder, award-winning soprano Erika Mädi Jones studies with Alison Wells.
A keen Wagnarian, Erika was awarded a Goodall scholarship from the Wagner Society in 2013. Erika was a Les Azuriales 2015 young artist and a finalist in the Wagner Society singing competition that same year.
In 2016 she looks forward to making her debut singing Elisabeth/Tannhäuser at Longborough Festival Opera. This new production will be conducted and directed by the creative team behind Longborough’s 2013 Ring Cycle, Anthony Negus and Alan Privett.
A passionate recitalist, Erika is delighted to have been named a Britten-Pears Young Artist this year, and will sing in the 2016 Brahms lieder course under the tuition of Thomas Quasthoff and Alexander Fleischer.
